Welcome to another exciting week of learning in Seal Class! We've had a brilliant time diving into various subjects, from maths to English, geography to Ukrainian. Let's take a closer look at what we've been up to.

Maths: Time (Year 3/Year 4)
This week in maths, we've been focusing on exploring the concept of time. We've been practicing how to read and record time using both analog and digital clocks. The children have been actively engaged in various activities, such as creating their own timelines, planning schedules, and even solving time-related puzzles. It's been fantastic to see their confidence grow as they master this important skill.

English: Recapping A Midsummer Night's Dream
In English, we've been immersing ourselves in the magical world of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. We've been revisiting the story, getting to know the diverse array of characters and their unique characteristics. From mischievous Puck to the lovestruck Helena, we've had animated discussions on why we like or dislike them and the reasons behind those sentiments. It's incredible to see the students analyze the complex personalities and motivations of these unforgettable characters.

Geography: Industries in North East England
Our geography lessons have taken us on an imaginary journey to North East England. We've been exploring the various industries that thrive in this region. From shipbuilding and coal mining to digital technology and renewable energy, we've discovered how these industries have shaped the landscape and livelihoods of the people living there. The children have also carried out research projects, learning about the challenges and opportunities faced by these industries in modern times.

Ukrainian: Stefania
This week, we've been celebrating diversity by learning about a remarkable Ukrainian individual, Stefania. Stefania is a trailblazing figure who made significant contributions to music and culture. The children have been captivated by her story, and we've delved into her life, achievements, and legacy. We've had the pleasure of listening to her music and discussing how she continues to inspire people around the world.

Overall, it's been an incredibly enriching and enjoyable week in Seal Class. The students have demonstrated their enthusiasm, critical thinking skills, and creativity throughout these diverse subjects. We're extremely proud of their efforts and look forward to further adventures in learning next week!
