22nd December 2023

Well we have made it to the end of term!  Well done everyone.  We have worked hard this term and I am proud of each and every one of you.

This week has consisted of lots of finishing off.  We finished our design technology unit – our moving storybooks.  We finally got them put together and then enjoyed sharing them with other children in the school.  Hopefully they have shared them with you at home too.  The children all worked hard to achieve their final design and were proud of them.

We also made some star decorations.  We discussed how the star represents many things including the star that they followed to Bethlehem to find the new born prince, but also how it once helped sailors guide ships across the ocean.  We talked about how it can also represent a loved one that may no longer be here or how it is used in many other religions as well as Christianity.  The children loved getting messy with the clay and paints!  Hopefully they have hung them somewhere special.

It was also party day – always a highlight of this half term.  The children had fun dancing away to the music in their party clothes and taking part in many party games.

To end our term we finished off with a beautiful carol service in Church.

All that’s left to say is that I wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS and A HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Thank you for all the lovely cards and gifts and for the support you have given us this term.  Enjoy the holidays and I can’t wait to see you all in 2024.

Miss Murray
