Christingle Service December 2022

We held our Christingle Service at Holy Trinity Church.  We all made a Christingle in school in the morning with the older children helping the younger ones.  In the service Orca and Seal class sang The Candle Song by Graham Kendrick.  They have been learning this song in music with Mrs Barber.  Orca Class then told us the story the Christingle and what each part represents.  Everyone joined in with ‘Sing Christingle’ and Puffins and Starfish sang ‘Away in a Manger.  Everybody then made a big circle around the edge of the church and we lit our Christingles one by one whilst singing ‘Now Light One Thousand Christmas Lights’.  When everybody had their Christingle lit the lights were turned off and the church was just lit by our candles.  Orca class said prayer and Revd Alison did a blessing at the end.

It was a lovely end to a very busy term.
