Summer 24 - KS1 Boulmer Visit

As part of our History unit this half term on 'How we learnt to fly' KS1 took a trip to RAF Boulmer.  Whilst there we were looked after by Flt Lt Seb Donley and some members of the STEM team.  We began by taking a look at the Phantom aircraft that is situated at the entrance to RAF Boulmer then we headed to the Officer's Mess where we heard about a brief history of flight and how aircrafts have changed through the years.  After that we each designed and made a rocket before heading outside to test them.  The children were amazed at how high their rockets flew into the air.
