We had an exciting week of learning in Seal Class. Our science day was a hit as we explored the connections between the human body and professions in medicine. In PE, we also continued our hockey practice, focusing on improving our control when dribbling and shooting.
In English, we learned about similes and metaphors and practiced identifying them in a text. In maths, we focused on fractions, understanding the different parts of a fraction and the difference between unit and non-unit fractions. We are nearly at the end of reading The Witches. The children have been at the edges of their seats reading this book, which is great to see their pleasure in reading a book as a class. We have had a lot of children in Seal Class make significant progress in their Numbots and TTRS. There are a few children coming home with plectrums today.
Well done for all your hard work this week, I know having a day of online learning wasn't expected but you rose to the challenge.
This week's star of the week was Zach for his imaginary world that he created on the beach.
The Headteacher's Award went to Cameron for his Ukrainian learning. His pronunciation is very good and he enjoys learning it.
Well done everyone and have a lovely weekend,
Miss Scott
