Another great week, well done.

This week we have carried on our work on time – it is proving trickier than we first thought.  We are really confident when telling the time to the o’clock and half past but have been struggling a bit with telling the time to 5 minute intervals.  This is what we spent this week focusing on.  We will keep trying as we are good at persevering in Puffin class. In English we have been editing our versions of Jack and the Beanstalk.

We have also thought about taking photos in either portrait or landscape mode.  We thought about the subject of the photo and discussed whether we thought it would be better in portrait or landscape.  We then decided to have a go at taking some pictures of various things and deciding which was better.  After a few attempts of taking a picture of the school building and a person we concluded that tall things are better taken in portrait mode and wide things, such as the school building, are better taken in landscape.

We had Reverend Alison and Reverend Nathanael in on Tuesday afternoon to talk to us about some of the stories in the Bible that bring good news.  They told us about their favourite Bible story and their reasons for this.

In History we began to think about holidays.  We found out that everyone in Puffin class has been on holiday.  Some of these holidays were taken in the UK and some were further afield.  We discussed how we travelled to our holiday destination and what we stayed in when we got there.  Some of your holidays sounded amazing and I think I might look into going to some of the places that were mentioned!

STAR OF THE WEEK this week goes to HARRY who tried really hard with his Jack and the Beanstalk story.  He was really thinking about using some adventurous vocabulary and his work was beautifully presented with neat handwriting.  Well done!

PROMOTIONS in Big Maths this week go to AIDAN, MARTIN and JACK.  Well done!

Hope everyone has a good weekend.
