Summer Term 1 Week 2

We started this week with a wonderful trip to The Centre for Life, the children all behaved really well and were really engaged within our workshops, it felt that the day just whizzed past us. Please see the photos below to show some of the activities that we took part in.

In English we have begun writing a newspaper report about the mysterious feet that have been found in our story - Secrets of a Sun King. We are really working on using a range of punctuation within our writing. In Maths we have been investigating squared and cubed numbers, we did find cubed numbers slightly tricky so we will revisit this again next week.

The children have also been investigating different recipes within Design Technology, the recipes needed to include at least one of the three key ingredients of pepper, salmon or pineapple. There were definitely some interesting dishes discussed!

In History we looked at some of the different gods which the Ancient Egyptians worshipped - I say some as there were around 2000. The children made a fact file about their chosen god.

Indira was awarded our Handwriting Hero of the week award this week - well done!
