Class Blog:
We have settled in quite well this week back into the routine of things. We have started our new English text, focusing on Poetry for this half-term. Specifically, we are exploring Michael Rosen's "Book of Bad Things" and Sue Ellis' "The Sun is Laughing." The children have thoroughly enjoyed engaging with the different poems and discussing how they evoke emotions, whether they enjoyed them, and how they can make improvements.

In addition, we have commenced our study of addition and subtraction in mathematics. This week, we delved into two-digit and four-digit numbers with exchanges. The children are making good progress and are becoming more confident with these concepts.

To consolidate their learning from last half-term, we also completed quizzes in Geography and Science. This served as an excellent opportunity for the children to revise and reinforce their knowledge in these subjects.

Kindly note that homework has been assigned on Google Classroom. Should you have any difficulties or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us. We aim to ensure that all students have access to the necessary resources and support.

We also want to welcome Miss Stothard who is going to be with us for 4 weeks initially and then will come back in March to complete her teaching placement with us.

Have a lovely weekend,
Miss Scott and Mrs G
