Our music theme this half term is ‘Transport’.  This week we explored the different sounds that different trains make.  We listened to a piece of music called ‘The Little Train.  We used different movements and different instruments to help us tell the story.

Our RE theme this half term is ‘Special Stories’.  We did our RE at beach school again this week.  We listened to the Hindu story of Rama and Sita.  We learnt that this story is tells us that light overcomes dark and good overcome evil.

This week we have also written about a train journey we have been on, spoken about long and short trains and retold the story to each other.  This week we learnt the poem ‘Five Little Peas’.

It was St George’s Day on Tuesday so we listened and acted out the story of St George, played with knights, dragons and a castle, made some scones, decorated shields and swords and did some Morris dancing.

Elen was our Starfish star of the week this week because she always follows Embleton Expects and is a great member of our class.

Our story for the next two weeks is  ‘How to Find a Fruit Bat’ by Michelle Robinson.
