Starfish

Another digger was at the beach this week.  A bigger digger!  We watched the digger and used our toy diggers to replicate what it was doing.  We were very excited to see a digger at the beach again!

Our story today was  ‘Snap!’ by Margaret Mayo.   There are lots of different sea creatures in the story and they all move in different ways.  When we had listened to the story we looked at some toy animals and matched them with the pictures in the book.  We then looked at pictures of the animals and wrote a list of what they were.

For our PE we moved in the different ways like the animals.  We snapped, danced, jumped, spun around, waddled, glided, floated, zig zagged, lolloped, waggled and dug.  After we had our snack we did some maths.  The Nursery children counted shells, stones and sticks into buckets and the Reception children practised their coin recognition by playing beach shops!

Before we went back to school we recapped our letter formation in the sand.
