Puffins
What a wet day today!!! It was a good job we were all prepared with wellies and waterproofs! Miss Murray said that it showed sunshine on her weather app so was disappointed with the rain! However, in true Embleton style, it didn’t dampen our spirits. We headed down to the beach and got our journals out while the sun was shining to write some more senses sentences. We were excited to watch the digger dig a channel to help the flood water drain back to the sea. As it started to drizzle we found a mark making tool, some used feathers and others sticks, to make a picture in the sand out of lines that we were practising in art. These pictures included wavy lines, zigzag lines as well as curved lines and dots. To keep ourselves moving and so that we didn’t get too cold we moved straight into our PE. Again we were practising our throwing and seeing if we could land our beanbag in a hoop. We were much more accurate with our throwing this week. As we began to head back up to school for lunch we took a detour to the bridges in order to see what they were made out of so that we could discuss it when we got back up to school. In the afternoon we discussed the bridges and properties of materials. We also practised drawing lines using music as a stimulus. We had so much fun responding to the music.
