Spring 1 Week 6

This week in Orca class the children have shown their fantastic homework project which they completed – I think this is one of the highest standards of homework I have seen so a huge well done to Orcas, you can see how much hard work, time and effort has been put in to the project.

In maths the children have moved from area to investigating volume and capacity.

In English we have completed our news broadcasts on the Yanomami tribe – the videos are on Google Classroom.

Using Google Earth the Orcas were investigating the size of the Amazon and comparing it to other parts of the world. They then researched an animal native to the Amazon and discussed how it was adapted to survive in it’s surroundings.

We were lucky to have a visit from The Dog’s Trust this week were they held an assembly telling the children how to be dog safe.

Orca class also visited the church this week too.

What a busy week!

Congratulations to our STAR of the week Amira.

I hope everyone has a wonderful half term.
