What a fabulous week we have had! It was so good to have all the children back. They were so eager to see their friends and be back to school again.
We have spent most of the week getting back into routine and settling the children in. The Reception children have worked hard completing tasks we have set as well as accessing all the different resources in the classroom, learning through their play. The Nursery children have returned eager to learn new things and explore the classroom, getting back to routine. We have been really impressed with the new children that have joined Starfish class this week and it feels as if they have been with us for ages!
We have been painting, drawing, writing, singing, counting, playing in the mud kitchen, investigating the water area, making up stories, creating music, sorting, matching, colouring, using the iPads, constructing, finding out about magnets, playing with playdough, using beanbags, using bubbles in the wind and so, so much more!
Our story this week was ‘Day Monkey, Night Monkey’ by Julia Donaldson and we spent some time finding out about the different animals in the story. Our Julia Donaldson story next week is one of our favourites ‘What the Ladybird Heard’. We are really looking forward to another fun filled week of learning!
