8th September 2019
It was lovely to see all the happy, smiley faces returning to school this week. I am glad that everyone had a good holiday.
The new starters have all settled in really well already, and Mrs Gabriele is getting to know everyone's names, and where everything is!
We have already been very busy this week, personalising our classroom spaces and getting back into routines. Rev Alison came for a Start of Term service with us, where we were all blessed, as were book bags, pencil cases, classrooms, the new entrance foyer, the kitchen, the playground... and everything else too!
We had a good first session back at Willowburn, and it was lovely to see our friends from Branton again too.
Next week we be watching the Tour of Britain on Monday, which we are looking forward to.
On Wednesday there is an Operation Encompass drop-in session from 8.30 am. If anyone would like to pop in and have a chat with our Schools Liaison Officer please feel free to do so. Our SLO will then be doing some work with Puffins on friendships and relationships.
After school on Wednesday there is a parent workshop for Starfish and Puffin parents about helping children to learn to read, and our processes. Please come along at 3 pm. If you are unable to make it, we will give you the handouts if you would like - please let me know.
On Friday we have our first Parent Worship of the year. It would be lovely to see you. I will be using the session to introduce the charity we are supporting this term - where I will be asking you to 'Save a Penny to Spend a Penny.' I would also like to share with you where we are with our vision and values - Support for Life through Compassion, Perseverance and Respect.
The film at film club this week is Ferdinand.
Have a good week!
