Welcome to the Puffin Art Gallery
Take a look at the drawings below and see if there are any faces you recognise!
In other news this week, we begun writing our own versions of the Funnybones story - once they are all finished I will record them and upload them for you to hear.  The children have worked really hard on their handwriting whilst writing their stories.
We have carried on with our big maths - with some more promotions.  They go to ELLA, FAYE, LUCAS and CAMPBELL!!!!!  Well done with your Learn Its promotions.  Fingers crossed we will continue to have more each week.
In maths we have been comparing numbers by using the language 'greater than' and 'less than'.  The children have been encouraged to use this in number sentences.
In RE we have been talking about 'friendships' and looking at what makes a good friend.  We watched the story of 'The Rainbow Fish' and talked about what was making him unhappy, then talked about how he made it better.  We also listened to the bible story of the 'Good Samaritan' and discussed what we could do to help our friends out.
We finished our portraits in Art, and also looked at how using colour helps to portray the mood of the painting.  We used blacks, blues and dark greens to create a sad mood and reds, yellows, oranges and pinks to create a happy mood.
In our history lesson we looked at Florence Nightingale and how she changed nursing and conditions in hospitals.  We created a time line of key events in her life and looked at cause and effect of her changes.
