Weekly Blog:
What a lovely week we have had with so many things happening in Seal Class. We have started our Spelling Work with Sir Linkalot and the children love him as he makes spelling fun with his phrases. In Maths, this week we have been looking at Place Value. The children have flown through it this week, they are working hard on their problem-solving and reasoning skills. We have had an interesting week with the children all starting their Guitar lessons with Mr Easton, the children focused on holding their Guitars correctly and tuning them. We also went on a Heritage Trail around Embleton finding out lots of information about our local area. Some of the key places they looked at were The Church, The School and Creighton Memorial Hall. We then made a giant timeline in the school playground to show our learning. In Art, we focused on Weaving as part of our Textiles Project. We have our homemade Looms ready to go for next week. RE allowed us to look at what a journey means to us, we watched The Circle of Life song and then came up with definitions of a journey in our groups. The children came up with some amazing ideas, for example, to experience things and to journey through life and their goals. They then made their timeline of their journey so far using important events to create it.
This week's Class Dojo Sense of The Week is Leighton.
Star Writer is going to Thomas for his setting description based on a cave.
Well Done!
