This week we have been busy preparing and planning our stories.  We have been thinking about adjectives and synonyms that we could use in our own stories.  We also made up a new character for them.  We had some great ideas including a camel who was afraid of sand, a polar bear who was afraid of snow and an anteater who was afraid of ants to name just a few.  We are going to start writing them next week which is going to be fun.

Maths we have been practising our column addition and addition on a number line.  We are getting so good at this now that we are moving on to column subtraction (much trickier) next week.  There was also a few more promotions in Big Maths too – well done everyone.  Hard work is paying off.

In History we have started to look at Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder plot.  We enjoyed the first lesson finding out who Guy Fawkes was.

On Tuesday we also starting looking at producing some digital art.  We first of all made ourselves familiar with the app ‘paintz’ by exploring what all the buttons and functions did.  We were then set some challenges to complete.  Next week we are going to recreate some artists work on it.  We can’t wait!

In RE on Wednesday we starting looking at Christmas.  We wrote down a list of things that come to mind when we hear the word ‘Christmas’.  After we shared our ideas, we began to think about what Christmas means to Christians.  I wonder what you think of when you hear the word ‘Christmas’?

We have also been doing some music with Mr Easton, some partnered balance work in PE and learning the songs for the Christmas play – Yes Miss Murray has gone home every night singing them!!!
