15th October 2021

Not long to go now until half term but we are still working as hard as ever here in Puffin Class.  Our hard work is paying off as we had another promotion in Big Maths.  This week's promotion goes to JACK - Well done Jack, keep up the good work.

In English this week we planned our diary entries and are ready to start writing them next week.  We also looked at a reading comprehension all about Rainbows - there were even some facts that I did not know!  They are so fascinating.

In History we compared firefighting techniques in the past to modern day techniques.  We wrote about what was the same and what was different.  Such a lot has changed - for the better we decided and we are thankful we have the fire service today.

In Art we had a go at using charcoal (as it reminded us about the Great Fire of London) to create a copy of St Paul's Cathedral (a building that was burnt down during the great fire).  We had to concentrate hard as there were lots of intricate details on the cathedral and lots of light and dark shadows.  The concentration on everyone's faces was great - well done Puffins (Sorry parents if your child came home a bit dirty on Wednesday afternoon - send me the washing!!)

One more week to go until half term and a much needed rest!

Have a good weekend,
Miss Murray and the Puffin Team.
