10th November 2019

The first week back after half-term has been very productive.  We had good first lessons of dance, and the Year 5s and Year 6s had an excellent day in Durham at an interfaith day, learning about the way different religions use light as central to their faith.  A particular highlight was the Bollywood dancing!

This week we have our Remembrance Worship on Monday at 9.30, at the WW2 pillbox between North Farm and the Golf Course – all are welcome.  You will need to wear wellies!  We will then be continuing on to the beach for Beach School.

On Monday afternoons this half term, Reception children will be having a gymnastics lesson from Sam Dronsfield during school time – children will need PE kit for this (this week it is fine as they will already be wearing beach school kit!).  Please also remember if your child is Y1-Y6 that they will need PE kit/leotard for gymnastics club if they are signed up for it.

On Tuesday we have got a parent lunch.  Please check with Melissa if you can’t remember if you have booked on to it!

In the afternoon we have got dance, so PE kits will be required, and a visit from the poet Paul Cookson (http://paulcooksonpoet.co.uk/).  He will be doing workshops with Puffins and Orcas.

On Friday it is Children in Need.  Children can wear something yellow and/or spotty for the day for a donation.  We will be baking cakes during the day and selling them at the end of school, so please bring in/send in some money with your children.  In the afternoon we will have a disco.
