15th October 2017
What an amazing turn-out we had at the Harvest Festival this week.  Thank you so much to everyone who came, and everyone who gave produce to be donated to the Alnwick Food Bank.  I am sure those of you who came thoroughly enjoyed Class 1's great rendition of The Little Red Hen and the Grain of Corn.
It was lovely to welcome Reception parents and families to school for lunch on Wednesday.  Well done to Mandy for yet again producing a delicious balanced meal.  We know that it was balanced because Class 1 looked at the recipes in science and checked it against the Eatwell Plate!
On Friday, Abbie and Barnaby, from Class 2, spent the day at St Michael's Primary School learning how to become Digital Leaders.  They have come back to school full of ideas about how we can better use technology in lessons.  Mrs Popay and I are looking forward to being taught!
There was again a great turn-out for the Spooky Spider Drive on Friday after school.  Thank you to the PFA for organising it.  Everyone seemed to have fun, and over £100 was raised.
Don't forget parent consultations for KS1 and KS2 are tomorrow.  Please try and be prompt for your appointment as the schedule is quite tight.
On Thursday PC Kevin Simpson will be coming in to school to talk to all the children about Firework Safety as we come into firework season.
Remember that it is half term on Friday.  Have a fabulous week off, and we will see you back in school on Monday 30th October.
